Medeiros Elementary School’s Mya Sanchez earned her third consecutive Punt, Pass, and Kick competition last Sunday at Candlestick Park in San Francisco, braving brutally cold conditions to claim the top spot in the 8-9 year old girls division.

Acting as the NorCal Champion, Sanchez took on champions from Nevada/Utah, the Bay Area, and Central Valley. Unlike her competitors, however, Sanchez was given words of encouragement prior to the contest by her favorite football player, Colin Kaepernick. Sanchez also received congratulations from the famous Turlocker moments after her win.
