Turlock Vikings JV squad (8-2) defeated the Ceres Seahawks 24-6 on Saturday, in the second round of playoffs in the Central California Junior Football League. The win sends the Vikings into the Super Bowl, where they will face the Manteca Jaguars at Atwater High School this Saturday at 5 p.m.

“We have talent but it took until the playoffs for us to get our chemistry together,” head coach Tim Roberts said. “We didn’t play our best ball until the Ceres game.”

The Vikings have had a good season with consistent play. Roberts attributes the team’s success to, “an outstanding offensive line, Abrams, Silva, Valasques, Treadwell and an all around team effort.

“We have a good shot at winning but we’re going to have to work hard,” Roberts said.

The Vikings know from experience how tough the Jaguars can be, during the regular season the Vikings barely beat Manteca in overtime.
