The Youth Entertainment Stage kids are performing the tale of Li’l Orphan Annie.

Shows are at 7 p.m. Oct. 24, 25, 26, and 3 p.m. Oct. 27.

Sponsored by the Stanislaus County Office of Education and the Education Foundation of Stanislaus County, “Annie, Jr.” is the story of Little Orphan Annie who charms everyone's hearts, despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous and magical world of NYC and finds a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks.

Playing the lead of Annie is Eva Cluff of Turlock.

Over 80 students in grades 4th through 8th will represent 44 schools in the show.
