The fire calls included a trash fire, a Dumpster fire, a working structure fire and multiple grass, fences, vehicle and potential structure fires, according to fire department spokesman Capt. Jason Bernard.

Many of the fires were caused by illegal fireworks, the fire department reported.

The structure fire was a shed that ignited. No injuries were reported.

It wasn’t just the fire department that was kept busy. The Turlock Police Department logged 160 firework violation calls from Friday to Monday, according to the police department’s activity report. The police department did not yet have information on how many citations were issued.
