Two women were taken into custody Wednesday by Turlock Police officers after they were found in possession of counterfeit money and items needed to make counterfeit bills.

The women were first reported to the police department as possibly casing vehicles to burglarize, said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

Shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday the police department received multiple calls reporting two suspicious women in the 100 block of Pedras Road. At least one of the callers said it appeared the women were “casing” the area.

Officers arrived and detained both women.

Carri Blanco, 35, was arrested for an active felony warrant and attempted burglary.

Officers searched a vehicle belonging to Carol Sprouse, 48, and found counterfeit cash, a printer, and other items needed to produce counterfeit bills, Lewis said.

Sprouse was arrested for a probation violation and possession of counterfeit money.
