Dirt bike escape comes to a fruitless end

A 19-year-old Turlock man trying to out run a police officer while on a dirt bike was caught Saturday afternoon after a brief struggle.
Zachary Jackson was charged with evading, driving with a suspended license, and resisting arrest, according to the Turlock Police Department.
An officer spotted Jackson around 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of Spruce Street driving a dirt bike with no license plate. The officer tried to stop Jackson, but he fled and a short pursuit ensued.
Jackson fled to his house and was trying to get into his garage when the officer caught up with him.
According to the police report, Jackson fought with the officer, but was eventually taken into custody.
