The 20-year-old woman struck by a car on Christmas night has died from the injuries she sustained, according to her family. Jennifer Metzger was taken off life support and passed away Wednesday afternoon. Her family said she had been declared brain dead after the Monday night collision.

A Turlock man was sentenced to more than 15 years in federal prison after abducting a teenage girl and evading law enforcement for months, federal prosecutors announced.
