A Turlock senior citizen was given a citation for assault and battery after getting into a physical fight with another older man about geography.

Feridoun Younan, 74, was issued a citation Tuesday afternoon at Donnelly Park for assault and battery, according to the Turlock Police Department.

The police report states Younan and another man were arguing about which states were closer to California when the disagreement turned physical.

No serious injuries were reported.
