Robbery charge for sign stealing

A Turlock man and a teenager are facing robbery charges after forcibly taking a sign from a Turlock sign twirler.

The sign twirler was working in the area of Tuolumne and Geer roads Saturday afternoon when he was approached by Johnathan Montgomery, 25, and a juvenile.

According to the Turlock Police Department, Montgomery and the juvenile harassed the sign twirler and then forcibly took the sign from him.

The sign was tossed into the road and the two suspects left the area.

The incident was reported to the police department and they apprehended Montgomery and the teenager in the 500 block of Grant Street and short time later.
