A Turlock Unified School District employee was arrested on Wednesday following a tip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children.

During the investigation from the NCMEC tip, Camden Wilson, 23, of Denair was identified as the person in possession of child pornography.

Wilson was arrested on Wednesday at his place of employment — the Turlock Unified School District — and taken into custody. At this time, the investigation has not revealed any evidence that Wilson sexually abused or exploited any children from the district.

“We are deeply troubled by the nature of these allegations. As the Sheriff’s Office shared in their press release, the investigation has not revealed any evidence that the employee sexually abused or exploited any children from the district. Unfortunately, we do not have any further details about this ongoing investigation, but we want to assure our TUSD community that we are cooperating fully with law enforcement and will share updates as appropriate. TUSD is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and accountability. The safety and well-being of our students remains our top priority, and we are taking appropriate administrative steps to safeguard our school community,” TUSD stated in a released statement.

Wilson was booked into the Stanislaus County Sheriff Detention Center on charges of possession of child pornography, illegal contact or communication with a minor, and sending or showing explicit or obscene material to a person under the age of 18.

Wilson’s residence was searched and any evidence recovered is pending review.
