Suspect found with stolen property

A police officer noticing suspicious activity arrested a man in possession of stolen property and burglary tools on Thursday.

Around 10:27 p.m. Thursday an officer was conducting routine patrol in the 200 block of N. Walnut Road when he observed a suspicious man and vehicle, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Parmley.

“The male was looking at some containers next to the business, and had a trailer attached to his vehicle,” Parmley said. “Upon the male seeing the officer he immediately began walking away from the containers.”

The officer contacted the man, later identified as Jarrett Semo, 25. During the contact, the officer could see narcotics paraphernalia in plain view inside Semo’s vehicle.

A probable cause search revealed stolen property and burglary tools. The license plate on the trailer ended up being stolen. The trailer was towed as evidence, pending a vehicle identification number verification.

Semo was arrested for possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools and possession of narcotics paraphernalia. He was cited and released on scene.
