A 31-year-old Turlock man was arrested for drug possession after someone reported him attempting to steal a tailgate from a pickup in Ceres on Feb. 1.

At 9:07 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of Lunar Drive and Uranus Street in Ceres in response to the man’s suspicious activity. When they arrived they located a man matching the suspect’s description who was walking up to a house. Carlos Vasquez, 31, of Turlock, was on probation and when he was searched he was found with heroin.

Vasquez was arrested and booked for possession of heroin.
