After a two month investigation, the Turlock Police Department has arrested a 61-year-old man on allegations he sexually assaulted minors.
Investigators also suspect there are potentially more victims yet to come forward.
Detectives served a search warrant at the home of Elton Boyd “Buzz” Kelley in the 400 block of Sue Street in Turlock on Tuesday morning. Kelley was taken into custody at the residence, which is located in a senior mobile home community.
The investigation was initiated after one victim came forward in December, said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.
The police department did not say how many victims the investigation involves, or their ages or gender. They also would not provide details how Kelley came into contact with them.
The department did state that during the course of the investigation they found information that leads detectives to believe there may be other victims who have not come forward.
Kelley was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on charges of sodomy of a minor, where the victim is prevented from resisting by an intoxicating or anesthetic substance, or any controlled substance; oral copulation of a minor under 14 years; sending harmful matter to a minor; and maintaining a place for unlawfully selling, giving, or using narcotics.
Kelley is being held on a $100,000 bail.
Anyone with information regarding this investigation is urged to contact Detective Timothy Redd at 664-7325.
