Two men were shot and one arrested early Wednesday in an incident in the southeast side of Turlock.

The Turlock Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at approximately 2:24 a.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of Lewis Street.

When officers arrived, they found evidence that a shooting occurred and discovered two men with non-life threatening gunshot wounds, said Lt. Miguel Pacheco.

Andrez Palomino, 21, of Turlock, was arrested at the scene for possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a loaded firearm in public.

Earlier in the evening, the police department was called out to the same Lewis Street residence for an act of vandalism. Pacheco said officers believe the vandalism was related to the shooting, however, there has been limited cooperation in the investigation.
