Caltrans roadwork planned in Turlock
roadwork

The California Department of Transportation will be doing work in the Turlock area starting this weekend.

Caltrans will be working on the Turlock Rest Area off State Route 99 on Saturday and doing shoulder work on northbound and southbound SR-99 at Golden State Boulevard in Turlock Sunday through Tuesday.

The off-ramp from southbound SR-99 to the Turlock Rest Area will be closed for construction work from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Crews will be moving concrete barriers as part of an ongoing construction project. The #2 lane on southbound SR-99 will also be closed in this area.

Full on and off-ramp closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound SR-99 at Golden State Boulevard from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Sunday through Tuesday.

The closures for shoulder work at Golden State Boulevard are part of a project that will replace the two outside lanes and shoulder on northbound and southbound SR-99, from just north of Bradbury Road to just north of the county line.

Motorists should expect 10-minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials and construction related issues.
