Flyover will pay tribute to Stanislaus County healthcare workers

A single HC-130J Combat King II aircraft from the 129th Rescue Wing will leave Moffett Air National Guard Base on Monday for a flyover tribute to healthcare workers in the Central Valley and the Salinas area.

A planned Memorial Day flyover saluting healthcare workers by the California Air National Guard will include hospitals in Stanislaus County.

A single HC-130J Combat King II aircraft from the 129th Rescue Wing will leave Moffett Air National Guard Base in Mountain View at 11:30 a.m. Monday for a flyover tribute to healthcare workers in the Central Valley and the Salinas area. At 12:30 p.m. Monday, a HC-130J Combat King II aircraft and two HH-60G Pave Hawk rescue helicopters are set to begin the flyover from the same base to north and south Bay Area medical facilities.

“The flyovers demonstrate the United States Air Force’s continued readiness and expresses gratitude to health care providers, first responders, and other essential personnel on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19,” the National Guard wrote in a press release.

The flyover is set to be over oak Valley Hospital in Oakdale at 1:17 p.m., followed by Doctors Medical Center in Modesto at 1:20 p.m.; Memorial Medical Center in Modesto at 1:21; Kaiser Permanente in Modesto at 1:22 p.m.; Sutter Gould Medical Foundation in Patterson at 1:28 p.m.; and Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock at 1:34 p.m.

Residents in these areas will be able to see the flyover from the safety of their home and should maintain all social distancing guidelines during this event.
