Fire destroys Delhi home

A fire of an undetermined cause raced through a Delhi residence, leaving it uninhabitable, according to Cal-Fire Merced.

No injuries were reported from the blaze.

The fire was broke out about 3:30 p.m. Thursday at a home in the 11200 block of Vincent Avenue in Delhi.

Three fire engines and two water tenders responded to the fire with more than a dozen fire fighters on scene.

The fire was contained in about an hour of eruption and crews remained on scene for another hour for clean-up.

The damage to the home was estimated at $60,000 and was ruled a complete loss by the fire agency.

The family of three — two adults and one child — were staying with family.
