There were no injuries reported from the fire. The cause remains under investigation, according to the Turlock Fire Department.

The fire was first reported around 3 p.m. Monday alongside the lanes of southbound Highway 99, near the Lander Avenue off-ramp.

The first fire engine to arrive at the scene found a white pickup truck fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters made a quick attack on the fire and kept it from spreading to any of the vegetation.

In addition to closing the off-ramp, the fire cause a traffic slowdown that stretched for several miles.
