  • ·         The Turlock Fire Department responded to a vehicle rollover on Highway 99 shortly before 9 p.m. on Feb. 2. The vehicle rolled over on the highway near the Taylor exit. It came to a rest on its roof off the highway. All the occupants were out of the vehicle when fire personnel arrived.
  • ·         Multiple fire engines and personnel were dispatched at 5:51 p.m. on Saturday to 1241 Cahill Avenue for a report of a structure fire. Units arrived on the scene of a two-story, single-family dwelling with fire showing from a front window. Crews operated in the offensive mode and quickly contained the fire to the room of origin. No one was home at the time of the fire. The cause and origin of the fire is under investigation.
  • ·         The Turlock Fire Department responded to 17 weather-related calls from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The calls included downed trees and a canopy blown up onto power lines.
  • ·         The fire department responded to a working structure fire on Wednesday in the 1400 block of Stallion Way. Upon arrival crews found fire coming out of the front of a residence which had extended from the living space. The fire was quickly contained within 30 minutes. Extensive overhaul was conducted. 10 occupants were displaced with Red Cross assistance. No injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation.

A recurring theme at the opening night of the 2025 Stanislaus County Fair in Turlock — the 107th edition of the annual event — was the heat. Sure, it's not 108 degrees like last year, but 102 on Friday afternoon wasn't too far off.
