Seniors living at Covenant Village of Turlock continue to cycle and compete their way to better health. In the spirit of the U.S. Summer Olympic Games, 17 residents participated in the community’s third, national competition using the CyberCycle, an interactive recumbent bike that uses virtual environments, video game features, group rides, and the spirit of healthy competition to motivate riders. The team competed against 144 other virtual CyberCycle riders at 18 retirement communities nationwide and earned medals for completing individual courses or stage race courses in the fastest times.
