Cathy Monaghan (Goldsmith) AKA “momma Cathy” and “nana Cathy” passed away with her loved ones by her side at Alexander Cohen Hospice House on June 26, 2017, in Hughson, CA. She was 52.

Cathy is survived by her loving husband Mark Monaghan of Hilmar, daughter Tiffany Ingram, son-in-law Glenn Ingram and granddaughters Ava and Grace Ingram all of Hilmar, son Derrick Monaghan of Hilmar, mother Wanda Nichols of Denair, father Eddie Goldsmith of Turlock, sister Debbie Goldsmith of Denair, grandmother Allene Nance of Modesto, Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mario and Kellie Gregorio of Turlock, Nephews Mark Gregorio (Kayla) of Kuna, Idaho and Kevin Gregorio of Turlock.  Cathy is preceded in death by her beloved mother-in-law Ava Gregg.  

Cathy was born December 14, 1964 in Santa Clara, CA.  She graduated from Turlock in 1983.  She married her high school sweetheart, Mark Monaghan on December 15, 1984.  Mark and Cathy went on to have 2 beautiful children.  Cathy and Mark then welcomed their son-in-law to their family and Tiffany and Glenn Ingram blessed them with 2 gorgeous granddaughters.  After her career as a medical office receptionist, she retired to become a full-time nana to her beautiful granddaughters.   Cathy was a member of New Life Christian Center.  

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday July 3rd at 10am at Allen Mortuary in Turlock, CA.  Chaplain David Williams will officiate her celebration of life.  Friends and family of our beloved Cathy are welcome to attend and celebrate her beautiful life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alexander Cohen Hospice House, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Shriners Hospital.
