A much loved wife, sister aunt, cousin and friend, Christina 58 years old passed away peacefully at home on October 12, 2012 with family and friend present.
She had bravely confronted her illness.
Christina was born and raised in Turlock, California to John M. Gallardo and Clofilde (Tillie) G. Rendon, on July 14, 1954, Emanuel Hospital. She attended Turlock High Scholl and then University California Davis. She returned to Turlock and attended Modesto Junior College Registered Nurse program, graduated 1979, she continued with her education California State University Stanislaus, graduated 1982 Bachelor in science of nursing and public Health Nurse, she returned to University of Davis and graduated from the University California Davis, Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistance.
Before meeting the love of her life Donald Erwin, Christina traveled to Europe, and Hawaii. Christina and Donald married October 3, 1982. They continued to travel to Canada, Mexico, Hawaii and the Caribbean Islands.
They were both very involved in community service, active and aware of upcoming nursing changes. Christina worked with the underserved Hispanic population.
They both believed in higher education and helped a lot of the family members to pursue careers. There is a saying if you know Christina you knew Donald they were inseparable we called them the Love Birds.

Survivors; are her Brother John A. Gallardo, Sisters Gloria Bennett and Nephew Mark Bennett, Jr., Father Jose R. Rendon, sister Nela Holsapple, Aunt Eleanore Vicuna and family, Sister in law Martha Boggs and family.

Visitation 2:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, October 19, 2012 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St. Turlock, California with Vigil and Rosary at 7:30 PM.
Funeral Mass 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 S. Walnut Rd., Turlock, California.
Burial followed to Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe, Ave., Hughson, California.
