Cleo, age 94, of Turlock, passed away peacefully July 22, 2014 from cancer. She was born March 10, 1920 to Jess and Idabell Edwards in Haskell Texas.

Cleo lived in Turlock most of her life. She taught school in Washington before becoming a counselor at Turlock High for 17 years. Cleo was a world traveler visiting all seven continents and accompanied students to Europe many times. She was an active member of Turlock Seventh Day Adventist church. Cleo married Lloyd Petersen of Denair June 21, 1983. He preceded her in death in 1993.

Cleo is survived by her nephew Pat Edwards of Watsonville California and Her niece Jeanette Leach of   Oakridge Oregon. She also has 3 step children; Judy Wenell of Columbia Maryland, Margie Ulmer of Eugene Oregon and Andy Petersen of Merced California. She has 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, July 28, 2014 from 4-8 PM at Wilson Family Funeral Chapel, 1290 Winton Way, Atwater. Graveside Services will be Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 10 AM at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson.
