Clifford Dick, 92, of Turlock, passed away at his home at Covenant Village. Clifford was born in Girard, Kansas to Harry and Florence Dick, one of three children. He attended school in Kansas before moving at age 12 to Turlock, California. Cliff attended Washington Elementary School and graduated from Turlock High School in 1942. He married Myrtle Marie Commons the same year before joining the US Navy in 1943. He served several stateside assignments in the Navy before his honorable discharge in 1945. He had a variety of abilities: he worked for Santa Fe Railroad as a telegraph operator, was a dairy farmer, worked for KTUR Radio, Mowrer’s Poultry, and was an equipment technician at Cal. State Stanislaus for 23 years. He enjoyed woodworking and painting. 

Clifford’s wife Myrtle died in 1991. He married Barbara Nolt in 1992 and they enjoyed traveling and camping together. Cliff was one of the original members of SIRS (Sons in Retirement Service) and a member of Crossroads Church in Turlock. Clifford was also preceded in death by his son Ronald Jay Dick and his brother Alan Dick in 1965, and by his wife Barbara in November of 2015. He is survived by his two daughters: Linda (Bob) Elliott and Evalyn (Fred) Entriken, all of Turlock, a brother Keith Dick of Montague, CA, six grandchildren, and 15 grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Allen Mortuary on Sunday, February 14th at 2 to 4 pm. Memorial Service will be at Covenant Village Berg Hall on Tuesday, Feb. 16th at 11 am. Burial with Military Honors will be at Lakewood Memorial Park at 1:30 pm.
