Deborah “Debby” Gonsalves
April 12, 1952 – May 5, 2025

Deborah “Debby” Gonsalves, a lifelong resident of Turlock, California, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025, at Alexander Cohen Hospice House. She was 73 years old.

Born on April 12, 1952, in Turlock, Debby spent her entire life in the community she loved. For 23 years, she served as a dedicated librarian at Julien Elementary School.

On January 7, 2000, Debby married Don Gonsalves in Mariposa, California. Together they shared 25 years of love and companionship. Debby cherished time spent in nature, whether camping in the RV or relaxing at the family cabin. Her beloved corgi, Charli, was a constant and treasured companion.

Debby was preceded in death by her father, Roy Collins; her mother, Virginia Collins; and her brother, Dennis Collins.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Don Gonsalves; her children, Tommy (Danielly) Hollis and Annie (Wes) Romero; her step-children, Ryan Gonsalves, Blake (Lena) Gonsalves, and Matt (Candace) Gonsalves; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one more great-grandchild on the way.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Turlock Funeral Home in the Main Chapel. A graveside service will follow on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Turlock Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alexander Cohen Hospice House or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Debby’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
