Dewayne Barker, 81 of Turlock, died of cancer at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson on November 26, 2017.  He was born in Hilltop Arkansas to Marshall and Ethel Barker.  Dewayne graduated from James Lick High School in San Jose, CA class of 1954.  It was in San Jose where he met the love of his life and wife of 57 years Barbara Barker.  They were blessed with two children Nancy and Jeff and grandchildren Nick, Greg, Karly, Erik, Jenna and Blake.  Dewayne worked for Gallo Winery for 23 years.  He loved fishing, watching baseball and football games, Nascar racing and going to craft shows and selling his various metal yard art.   Dewayne is survived by his wife Barbara Barker; daughter Nancy Nascimento (Eddie) of Denair, son Jeff Barker (Daneen) of Hilmar; grandchildren Nick, Greg, Erik, Jenna Nascimento of Denair, Blake Barker of Hilmar and sister Gerry Jacobs of Cottonwood, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents Marshall and Ethel Barker of Anderson; his brother Pat Barker of San Jose and his granddaughter Karly Barker of Hilmar.
