Doris Mae Reinitz, age 88, of Santa Clarita, California, was called to the Lord on October 3. She passed away held and surrounded by loved ones in the home she adored. Doris is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry and their two children, Lee and Marcy. She was blessed with six grandsons and five great grandchildren. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Claude and Edith Sherrell in 1930. Doris attended cosmetology school as a teen in St. Louis, Missouri, before arriving in Denair, California. She met the love of her life, Jerry Reinitz and they married in 1954. 

Doris’ deep passion of helping other people led her to a career as a physical therapist. In 1967, Doris and her family made their home in Santa Clarita. She loved the wildlife, the plants and the country lifestyle. In later years, Doris and Jerry traveled extensively and spent many summer days at the beach. 

In the last years of her life Doris grew close to her Lord, sending many sincere prayers for her loved ones to heaven. Her boundless love enriched all who knew her. Graveside services will be held at Denair Cemetery in Denair, CA., Friday Oct. 12th at 1pm.
