Our beloved mother passed away on the early morning of Tuesday, December 15, 2015. Dorothy was born May, 1934 to Wayne and AnnaMae Nutcher of Turlock, CA. She was one of five children. Dorothy attended MJC when she met Ken Blomquist. Ken and Dorothy were married January, 1956 and had three children. Dorothy ran a day care in her home for about 45 years. Many children enjoyed being under her care. Dorothy’s passion in life was creating a safe, loving environment for her children and the children in her day care. Her other passions were tending to her rose gardens, reading her books, camping, a day at the beach, and antique shopping with her sister Betty.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Ken, of over 53 years, her two sisters, Shirley and Wilma, and her brother-in-law Earl. Dorothy is survived by her three children, Keith, Deanna, and Darla (Mike) Marmon, grandson, Jake, her sisters, Betty and Joanna, her sister-in-law, Marsha, and brothers-in-law, Dean Larson and Jack Filer.

A graveside service will be held Monday, December 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.
