Elizabeth “Betsy” Klingler passed away peacefully in her home on Jan. 10, 2011, surrounded by her husband Dan Klingler and her care givers, Ashly Ramos, Patty Ramos and Melissa Herrera.
Betsy was a graduate of Virginia Tech and studied at Columbia University. She became a child nutritionist and worked for over 30 years calling on schools in California. Her territory included schools from Sacramento to Merced.
While in Merced one day, she met Dan Klinger, a retired U.S. Navy pilot who was in the Beckman and Co/ Merrill Lynch Financial investments program. They dated, got married in 1975, and lived happily. Betsy Klinger lived until the age of 91. Her body was worn out and her life left her. She died and was pleased to go and be with her savior, Jesus Christ.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17 at Turlock Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at Turlock Funeral Home Chapel, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., followed with entombment at Lakewood Memorial Park.
