Fern Regina Fenton, age 94, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord on February 16, 2016. She was the fifth child born to Harve and Sallie Guinn in Kaw City OK. Fern was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Floyd and James, Ova Lowry, Opal Shelton, and her husband of 58 years, Ellery Fenton. She is survived by her children Ova June (Bill) Crabtree, Ed (Jayne) Fenton, her beloved sister and prayer partner Rosetta (Rosie) Caruthers. Her grandchildren Jason (Jessica), and Aaron Crabtree, Katrina (Glenn) Hellberg, and Russell Fenton. Great grandchildren Aidan and Colin Crabtree and Gideon Hellberg. She adored them all! They were the lights of her life.

Fern and Ellery owned a thrift bread store in Turlock for 16 years. Fern was a great people person and enjoyed the endeavor. She attended Bethel Temple of Turlock for nearly 50 years. She taught Sunday School for many years and was an active participant in the Women’s Missionary Circle. Toward the end of her life she lived at Bethel Retirement Home. Visitation will be on February 22nd from 5:00-7:00 pm at Allen Mortuary, 247 North Broadway in Turlock. The Celebration of Fern’s life will be on February 23rd at 11:00 am at Allen Mortuary. Interment will be private. Fern’s nephew, Dr. Scott Fenton, Senior Pastor of Meadows Baptist Church of Plano TX will be officiating. There will be a luncheon following the Celebration of Life.
