Frank Chavez, 70, of Ceres, passed away Wednesday at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Mr. Chavez was a native of Madera and a resident of Ceres for six years. He previously lived in Patterson for 19 years. He was a groundskeeper for 30 years, working for Del Puerto Hospital and Turlock Memorial Park. He was a member of the New Life Temple of Turlock.
Mr. Chavez is survived by his wife, Faye Chavez of Ceres; sons, Frank Chavez, Jr. of Ceres and Amador Chavez of Ceres; daughters, Dolores Fagundes of Ceres and Frances Mendoza of Modesto; brothers, Joe Chavez of Turlock, Henry Chavez of Delhi, Rick Chavez of Turlock, Bobby Chavez of Texas and Manuel Chavez of Grayson; sisters, Linda Mora of Patterson and Rachel Davis of Livermore; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 1 at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson. A second visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Monday, May 2 followed by a funeral service, also at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson. Interment to follow at Patterson District Cemetery.
