Kathryn was born on May 6, 1927 to George and Bessie Hendryx in Salisaw OK.   She came to Turlock, CA with her parents and brother, Jacob in 1942.  She went to work for California Frozen Foods where she met Robert “Bob” Holder, the one and only love of her life.  They were married on June 22, 1945 and spent 69 wonderful years together.

Kathryn was employed in the poultry industry for many years and was also a USDA inspector for 13 years. She was a devoted Christian and founding member of the First Baptist Mission in Denair

The family enjoyed camping and Kathryn was also an avid reader, especially of the bible, and enjoyed puzzles word searches and embroidery.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Bessie Hendryx, her brother Jacob Hendryx, her step-grandson Nicholas Penick.

She survived by her husband Bob Holder, , daughter Darla Penick (Eddie),  sister-in-law, Mildred Ellsworth, grandchildren, that she adored, Alisa and Jesse Penick, her step-grandson Jeremy Penick and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a wonderful and amazing wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.  She will be greatly missed by all.  Remembrances may be made to Covenant Hospice or the charity of your choice.
