Larry D. Maggard, age 78, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 8, 2022. Larry passed away peacefully with his twin brother, Stan, at his side.

Larry was born on January 29, 1944 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Dewey Maggard and Muriel Herod. His family moved to California, and later they settled in the Turlock area. Larry attended Turlock High School where he was an outstanding, all-around athlete.

Larry was always involved in his church, Big Valley Grace, where he attended for many years.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Janet, of 40 years, two sisters, and two brothers. He is survived by his brothers, Dave (Carolyn), Stan (Carol), and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at Turlock Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. Reception to follow.
