Linda Lee Beckhart
January 1952 April 2011
Beckhart
Linda Beckhart, 59, of Ceres, lost her long battle with cancer at Memorial Medical Center. The daughter of William and Doris Mason, Linda was born in Sebring, Ohio and began her schooling there. When she was 11 years old the family moved to Compton. They lived in Southern California where she met and married Robert Beckhart in December 1970. Linda had a gift for working with numbers and worked as bookkeeper for 25 years with Kraft Foods and for Central Valley Auto Body Shop.
Linda loved camping and actively served the Boy Scouts for 30 years, which continued long after her own boys had completed their scouting. In fact, she worked with leadership training with the Boy Scouts and earned the coveted Silver Beaver Award.
A fun-loving, faithful wife, daughter, mother and grandmother, Linda kept her family as a high priority and was always there whenever someone needed help and support. She was known to sit by a hospital bed for hours with family members, crocheting just to keep them company.
Linda is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert Beckhart; her mother, Doris M. Mason  of La Mirada, Calif.; children, Robert Byrl Beckhart Jr. (Megan), Christina (Patrick) Piersall and Charles Brian (Andrea) Beckhart, all of Ceres; and grandchildren, William, Kathleen, Joshua, Jason, Tyler and Caleb Beckhart, David and Jenna Price, Kaylee Piersall and Lilliana Cruz. Linda was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her father William E. Mason; and children, William and Kathleen.
Memorial service plans are pending at Allen Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be considered for Boy Scout Troop 9 of Ceres.
