Marjorie S. Fischer, 72, passed away at her home after a battle with kidney disease. Private services were held at Turlock Memorial Park.
Born in Delhi, La., Marjorie served in the U.S. Army and later became a licensed vocational nurse for Emanuel and Doctors hospitals. She earned her AA degree from Modesto Junior College.
Marjorie is survived by her family, Pattie DeBora, Ken and Betty Sparks, Random Sparks and Mariah Sparks, all of Turlock. She is also survived by her son, Mike Fischer (Nana) of London, England; grandchildren, Carin Sutton (Josh) of Hollister, Jackson Fischer of Seattle, Wash. and Jefferson Fischer of London, England; great grandchildren, Lilie and Ava Sutton; many brothers and sisters; and her Assured Care helpers, Dixie, Naomi, Alicia and Belinda, who became an extended family to Marjorie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Fischer.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Sunrise Christian Church, 1000 E. Monte Vista Ave., Turlock, CA  95382.
