Michael Fernandez, 25, of Keyes, died Nov. 3 in Keyes. He was born in Modesto in 1985. He was a welder for eight years and attended St. Jude Catholic Church of Ceres. He enjoyed skate boarding, video games, “Guitar Hero,” football and being outdoors.

He is survived by his father, Mike Fernandez and his step-mother, Teresa of Ceres; mother, Kathy Martinez of Modesto; son, Michael Jacob Fernandez of Merced; brother, Michael Able Fernandez of Ceres; sisters, Jenny Fernandez of Turlock, Sonja Fernandez of Turlock, Angela Fernandez of Turlock, Marissa Fernandez of Ceres and Marian Fernandez of Ceres; and grandparents, Rose Martinez of Turlock, Al Martinez of Turlock and Miguel Fernandez Sr. of Ceres.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 8 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 West Main St., Turlock. A Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons St., Turlock. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 8 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias. Burial will be at Ceres Cemetery.
