Naomi Geraldine Rust, 89, of Turlock, died suddenly on April 6, 2014. 

“Teddy” Rust, daughter of Rev. Vern McClain and Iva Anna Abbott, was born March 21, 1925 in Merlin Oregon. She was the loving wife of Frank Rust, for sixty-nine years. 

She came with her family to Turlock in 1943.  She attended LAPC in Southern California, returning to Turlock after graduating.  She married Frank Rust in 1945 and eventually settled in Turlock.

Teddy worked many years for Montgomery Wards, and Elness Convalescent Hospital as a bookkeeper where she was known as “Rusty”, until her retirement 1989. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking, football “Niners”, and traveling with friends.  She was an active member of the Free Methodist Church; she loved working with the youth, until her health would not permit.

Teddy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Frank, her three daughters, Kathaleen Sivils, Geraldine Mirko, and Frankie Bundgard.  She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren, all spread throughout California, Arizona, and Wisconsin.

Viewing and visitation will be held from 4 to 7 P.M. on Wednesday, April 16th at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd. in Turlock.  

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday April 17th also at Turlock Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
