After a courageous battle with cancer, Navroz Kaur Pannu died on January 23rd, 2017 surrounded by her loving family in Hughson, CA at the age of 38. She leaves behind her daughter, Nimrita Dosanjh.

Navroz was born on July 26th, 1978 in Punjab, India to father Joginder Singh and mother Amarjeet Kaur.  She grew up in a large loving family, leaving behind two brothers Harmanpreet Singh and Sandeep Singh.  She was a loving sister in law to Dimple Kapoor and Ravinder Kaur and a proud aunt to her nephew Udaypartap Singh and her two nieces Avroz Kaur and Navreen Pannu.  

She excelled in college, graduating from Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar, Punjab with a Masters in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry.  Navroz moved from India to the Central Valley in 2002 and began her teaching career shortly after. Most currently she was a biology teacher at Gregori High in Modesto, CA.

Navroz was a driven professional with a great passion for teaching and she remained dedicated in her work and in her will to fight her illness.  She remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even throughout her final months.

The family would especially like to thank her friends and colleagues at Beyer, Johansen and Gregori High School for their unwavering support and generosity; the staff of UCSF for their constant, attentive treatment; and Alexander Cohen Hospice, for making her journey home a peaceful one. Visitation will be held from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, January 27 at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway in Turlock.  A funeral service will be held from 10:30am to 1:00pm on Saturday, January 28, also at Allen Mortuary.
