Robert went suddenly to his heavenly home during a train ride with his family in Peru. He was relaxed and enjoying the time with his  He was a graduate of Turlock Christian High School.  He loved to fly and was a licensed pilot who gave flying lessons.  He was an active member of a rocket club, sharing his ideas with fellow rocket members and his knowledge with students at TCS, launching rockets up with them each year.  He was good about helping others when called upon.

He leaves behind his family that loves him, his wife Debbie, his daughter Vicky, and his son Scott.  He also leaves behind his mother, Nina Zylstra, two sisters, Diane (Tibor) Polgar, Kathy (Bud) Sexton, and three brothers, John Zylstra, David (Dolores) Zylstra, and Andy (Ronica) Zylstra.  His father, Arjen Zylstra preceded him in death earlier this year.  He left many nieces and nephews.  Any gifts of love can be sent to TCS or Covenant Care Hospice.  Monetary contributions will be used to support Peruvian children and hospitals.

A memorial will be held at Crossroads Church at 1360 Johnson Road in Turlock California, Saturday, June 20th at 11 o’clock.
