Sulakhan Singh, 93, of Livingston passed away Saturday, Jan. 29 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. He was born in Pakistan to Mukhand Singh and Maha Kaur in 1917. Sulakhan was a farmer in Punjab, India for most of his life. He immigrated to Livingston in 2008, and was a member of the Livingston Sikh Temple. God and family were his life.

Sulakhan is survived by his wife, Tej Kaur; children, Jasvir Kaur, Balwant K. Dhaliwal, Gurmit Singh, Gurbhej Singh and Rupinder Kaur. He is also survived by one sister, 13 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Sulakhan was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

A public visitation will be held from 12 noon to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4 at Allen Mortuary. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, Feb. 5 at Allen Mortuary, with a cremation service following at 2 p.m.
