Thomas passed from this earth on Feb. 4, 2011.  He was born on Dec. 3, 1945, to Albert Ramirez and Liola Sears. Thomas was originally from Scottsbluff, Neb., but lived in Stanislaus County with his wife Laura for the past five years.  They traveled around for several years before settling in Modesto.

Thomas, a man of very strong beliefs, kind, passionate and dedicated, spent most of his life as a plumber.  He had many other passions and accomplishments throughout his life.  He was a devout Catholic, a wonderful teacher and a strong leader.  He is my guardian angel.

Thomas leaves behind his wife, Laura of Modesto; brothers, Albert and Marty; sister, Teresa; children, Ray, Tommy, Timmy, Heidi, Hollie and Daren; and step-children, Heidi, Danielle and David, all of Nebraska.  He also leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9, with the recitation of the Rosary starting at 7 p.m., at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.
