Virginia LaGone, 71, of Denair, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center on Sunday, Feb. 21. Services will be held at a later date.
She was born in Fairfax, Calif. and lived most of her life in Newark, Calif. In 1998, she settled in Denair. Virginia was a certified nurse’s assistant for over 25 years. Our Mom/Grandmother loved to read, watch movies, especially John Wayne movies. For years she hunted and fished with her family and extended family in the Trinity Mountains. She enjoyed riding and talking as she rode around in a golf cart with her son-in-law. She loved to work puzzles and play cards with her kids and grandkids. She was a very loving mother and grandmother and we will miss her forever.
Virginia is survived by her children, Debbie (Bob) Nyquist of Denair, Willie LaGone of Modesto, Sandy (Stewart) Tate of San Jose, Calif. and Rita LaGone-Shelby of Oregon; siblings, Mary Ellen Irving of San Point, Idaho and Ernest Cordiero of Maryland; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurie W. LaGone; children, Mike LaGone, Larry LaGone and Steve LaGone; and grandson, Robert P. Nyquist.
Virginia will be missed by all.
