Pit bulls on the loose

Dear editor,

It’s a sad state of affairs when you are in your own yard and two young pit bulls, without collars or license, come into your yard and kill four beautiful little kittens.

My poor daughter had to stand there and watch this devastation, and when she started out there to help they chased her back in the house. Luckily, she got back in safely or they would have attacked her.

They called 911 and they said someone would come out, but no one ever came. This was Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012. So then they saw a policeman on the road and (my daughter’s) husband told him about it and he said he would send someone else out.

Well, he didn’t come out ‘till 2 o’clock the next day. Then he said, “Where are the pit bulls?” As if my daughter could corral them. It looks like someone on South Rose would turn in a complaint when they see 2 pit bulls running loose.

And it also looks like someone is not doing their job when they wait a day or two to look into this kind of situation.
