The Turlock High bulldogs are off to a perfect 4-0 start in the Central California Conference after defeating Golden Valley on Wednesday, 50-34.

“Defense was a key in the game, but Ricky Heidelbach played a good game for us as well,” said Turlock head coach Doug Cornfoot.

Heidelbach notched a game-high 22 points and Oscar Moreno, Habib Velasquez and Shawn Grewal each added six points for the game.

Turlock held GV to under 10 points for the game for all four quarters after they dominated the game in every facet.

With the victory, Turlock is now in a first place tie with Pitman at 4-0 heading into today's critical matchup for the sole first place position in league.

“It should be an exciting game. Pitman is a very good team with a lot of weapons. We will have to play our best. I do like our momentum going into the game.”

Turlock will host Pitman for the first meeting of the year at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
