The Cal State Stanislaus volleyball team swept their opponent in three straight sets for the second time this week, defeating Cal State East Bay Friday night 25-14, 25-18, and 25-18.
The Warriors are now 7-4 overall and 4-2 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association, matching their total conference wins from last season.
The momentum of the game was definitely in the Warriors favor when they took a 12-4 run over the Pioneers in set one.  In set two, the Pioneers seemed to come back stronger but the Warriors pulled away late in the set.  In set three, the Pioneers and Warriors were tied six times but the Warriors ended up taking the final set.
Lianne Vicchio led the team offensively and defensively with 14 kills and 12 digs.  Eva Chafeh was errorless offensively with 13 kills and hitting a .464 attack percentage on the night.  Melissa Bishop was also a strong asset with 6 kills and 4 blocks.
Katie Allen led the Pioneers with 9 kills and 2 blocks.  Brianna Bryant had 8 kills on the night and Libero Lauren Massa led defensively with 19 digs.
The Warriors look for their third win of the week at 7 p.m. Saturday night when they take on the visiting UC San Diego Tritons.
