Cal State Stanislaus volleyball player Lianne Vicchio was named Thursday to the All-California Collegiate Athletic Association first team, making the outside hitter from Orangevale the first Warrior to earn first-team honors in four years.

Vicchio led the Warriors for the third consecutive season in kills with 361, as she averaged 3.47 per set. A double threat, she also recorded 281 digs and averaged 2.70 digs per set. Vicchio is ranked fourth in CCAA for kills and third in points scored per set with 3.94.

Cal State San Bernardino, which captured its fifth straight California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) title, had a league-high tying five players named to the all-conference team, including a conference record-tying three in the first team.

With Vicchio, the Warriors finished the season with a 13-14 overall record and 10-12 in the conference. They embarked on their best-ever start with a 9-4 overall and 6-2 in the CCAA before running into trouble and losing 10 of their last 14 matches.
