The CIF Sac-Joaquin Section released playoff brackets for each of their seven softball divisions over the weekend, revealing a slew of programs within the Turlock Journal coverage area — Turlock, Denair, Hilmar and Hughson — qualifying.

LATHROP — A 10-run fourth inning from No. 2 Vacaville Christian was too steep of a hole to climb out of for top-seeded Turlock Christian, who lost 13-2 in five innings in the championship game of the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division VII playoffs at Islanders Field in Lathrop on Tuesday evening.
