The Central California Conference Most Valuable Player Taylor Beckwith is not done with her final year with Pitman High golf just yet.

Beckwith seemed to peak with a steady and calm demeanor at Creekside Golf Course in Modesto on Monday with a top finish in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I South Girls Tournament after finishing 1-over-par with a 73 for the day.

“Taylor had her best round this season. She was confident and mentally prepared for the morning,” said Pitman head coach Kris Shaw. “We have talked about her goals for the year and we are one step closer to the club. Taylor plays one hit at a time and you can tell by her scores.”

Turlock (460) managed to finish third after beating Enochs in a one-hole playoff at Creekside's first hole, despite being tied after the conclusion of the 18 holes.

Turlock sophomore Brooke Adams held on to the win after holding a chip from about 60 feet for a par for the Bulldogs' 21-15 win.

“I am so proud of this team and what they continue to accomplish,” said Turlock head coach Mary Krupka.

Turlock, which shared the CCC title with Buhach Colony, was led by Brooke Vierra's 78.

Beckwith is one of six individual qualifiers, including three teams, who will advance to the Master's.

The Master's is set to take place at Spanos Park in Stockton with a 9 a.m. tee time on Monday.
