Turlock High's varsity boys water polo team has been on a winning streak the last several weeks, surging to a 6-1 Central California Conference record after defeating Golden Valley and Buhach Colony in back-to-back crucial wins.
First, the Bulldogs took down GV on Tuesday with a 16-14 win behind Jakob Bradley and Cameron Dhanowa's three goals each while goalkeeper Gabe Sleeper notched seven blocks.
A total of 10 different players scored for first year head coach Aaron Weiss in the victory heading into Thursday's contest with Buhach.
It was a 16-7 blowout for the 'Dogs which had five different players score two or more goals.
“We have a strong defense. We are probably the fastest team in league and that helps on counter attacks. And we play much better as a team,” said Weiss, whose team is 16-2 overall.
Next for the boys is an away matchup against Atwater at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
