Swiss Echoes spring concert approaching

The San Joaquin Valley Swiss Echoes, a singing and yodeling club based in Ripon, will be having its annual spring concert and dance at 7:30 p.m. April 16, at the Swiss Hall in Ripon, on the corner of Manley and East Main Streets. The choir is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their club’s flag and will be showcasing their new children’s choir with a variety of singing and entertainment, followed by dancing to the tunes of the Ed Inderbitzen Orchestra. Admission to the concert and dance is $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

Showcase exhibit opens at Carnegie

From more than 200 entries, jurors have selected 84 works that will be on display in the annual Carnegie Art Showcase exhibition taking place this summer at the Carnegie Arts Center in Turlock. The juried exhibition is a celebration of artistic excellence. The show opened Wednesday and will be on view in the CAC’s Ferrari Gallery until Sept. 5.
